 Last updated: January 27, 2026

Morpich Design ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by PDF Reader - Scanner & Editor.

This Privacy Policy applies to our website, and its associated subdomains (collectively, our "Service") alongside our application, PDF Reader - Scanner & Editor. By accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

We believe in privacy-first design. We collect the absolute minimum amount of information necessary to provide our services.

A. Information You Provide to Us

Our app processes your files locally on your device.

Documents & Images: When you use features like PDF Scanner, Image to PDF, or Merge PDF, the files are processed entirely on your phone's processor. We DO NOT upload your original files to any server.

Camera Data: We use the camera permission solely to scan documents. These images are processed locally and are not transmitted to us.

B. Information Collected Automatically (via Third Parties)

While we do not collect personal data directly, we use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Device Information: We may collect information about the device and application you use to access our Service, such as your IP address, operating system, and unique device identifiers (Advertising ID).

Usage Data: Information about how you use our application (e.g., how long you use the app, which features you use).

Third-party service providers used by the app:

Google AdMob: We use AdMob to display advertisements to support our free app. AdMob may use device identifiers to personalize ads.

2. How Do We Use The Information?

We use the information we collect (primarily via third parties) for the following purposes:

To Monetize: To display advertisements (Banner, Native, Interstitial, Rewarded) that allow us to offer this app for free.

To Improve: To analyze crash reports and performance data to fix bugs and improve stability.

To Comply: To fulfill our legal obligations and prevent fraud.

3. Permissions We Request

To provide our core features, we request the following permissions:

CAMERA: Required for the "Document Scanner" feature to capture images of documents. Images are not sent to our servers.

INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to load advertisements (AdMob) and for privacy policy access.

Note on Storage: We have modernized our app to use Android's Storage Access Framework (SAF) and Photo Picker. This means we DO NOT require broad READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permissions, ensuring better privacy for your personal files.

4. Kids' Privacy

We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13. The Service and its content are not directed at children under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

5. GDPR Data Protection Rights (EEA Users)

We are committed to ensuring you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

We implement a Consent Management Platform (CMP) for users in the EEA to manage their ad personalization preferences.

6. CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)

Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers have the right to:

Request that a business that collects a consumer's personal data disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data that a business has collected about consumers.
